Winter Themed Activities

-TUX Paint Activity: After listening to the Polar Express, open up TUX Paint and draw a picture of your favorite part of the book. Write a sentence under your picture describing what is happening.

-Excel Activity: Download this Excel document "Holidays Around the World" and save it to your folder. Research (using a research website of your choice) and make a chart of Holiday Celebrations around the world.

-Word Activity: Open up Microsoft Word and save the document to your folder as "Winter". Research and find 3 quotes about winter and include the source. See directions below.

-PowerPoint Activity: Create a Snowman from this Website http://www.billybear4kids.com/holidays/christmas/snowman/snowman.htm , copy and paste your picture into your PowerPoint Document. Then create a citation using a text box. Create another text box and create a math word problem. Answer problem on slide 2. **Print with permission** Staple together and use as a math center activity.
